What size spare tire cover do I need?
Spare tire covers are sized by the overall diameter of your tire in inches, not by your wheel size. We carry covers in 28", 30", 32", and 34" diameters. The easiest way to find your size is to use our Tire Size Guide — just enter the tire code printed on your sidewall (for example, 265/70R17) and it will tell you exactly which cover to order.
How do I read the tire size code on my sidewall?
The code on your sidewall looks something like 265/70R17. Here is what each number means:
- 265 — The tire's width in millimetres
- 70 — The aspect ratio (sidewall height as a percentage of the width)
- R — Radial construction
- 17 — The wheel diameter in inches

How do I measure my spare tire if I don't have the sidewall code?
Stand your tire upright and measure straight across the centre from one outer edge to the opposite outer edge — this is the overall diameter. Round up to the nearest cover size we carry (28", 30", 32", or 34"). If your measurement falls exactly between two sizes, always size up — a slightly larger cover with an elastic edge will seat properly, while one that is too small will not stretch to fit.
Will the cover fit my Jeep Wrangler / SUV / RV / camper / truck?
Our covers are designed to fit any externally mounted spare tire — the kind bolted to the back of the vehicle, a tailgate swing arm, or a rear-mounted spare carrier. This includes the Jeep Wrangler (JK, JL, TJ), Ford Bronco, Toyota 4Runner, Land Cruiser, SUVs, pickup trucks, travel trailers, RVs, and camper vans. Do I really need a spare tire cover?
Yes — especially for externally mounted spares. Your spare is exposed to UV sunlight, rain, road grime, and temperature swings every day, even though you may not drive on it for years. UV radiation is the leading cause of dry rot: it breaks down the rubber in the sidewall, causing cracking and micro-fissures. A tire in this condition can fail at the worst possible moment — when you need it most. A cover acts like sunscreen for your tire, blocking UV rays and dramatically extending its usable life. It also keeps the tire clean and your vehicle looking sharp.
What are your covers made from?
Our covers are made from a durable, printed fabric material engineered to withstand outdoor exposure. The surface holds vibrant, full-colour prints while resisting fading from UV rays and weathering from rain and humidity. The elasticated edge creates a secure, snug fit that stays in place while driving.
Are your covers weatherproof? Can they stay on in the rain?
Yes. Our covers are designed to stay on through normal driving conditions, including rain. The elasticated edge keeps the cover securely fitted around the tire. We do recommend removing and air-drying your cover periodically if it has been heavily soaked, to prevent moisture from sitting trapped against the tire for extended periods.
How do I install the cover?
Installation takes less than a minute and requires no tools:
- Centre the cover over the face of the spare tire
- Pull the elasticated edge down and around the outer circumference
- Work your way around the tire, pulling the edge evenly until it seats snugly behind the tread
- Give it a tug to make sure it is secure before driving
If the cover feels very tight, a light spray of soapy water on the inside edge makes it slip on much more easily. It will loosen very slightly once broken in.

Are your covers made to order? How long does production take?
Yes — every cover we sell is printed on demand, made fresh for your order rather than sitting in a warehouse. This means the print quality is always at its best. Please allow 2–3 business days for production before your order ships. If you have a deadline, feel free to contact us before ordering and we will confirm the current turnaround time.
What vehicles or tire types do your covers NOT fit?
Our covers are designed for externally mounted spare tires. They are not designed for:
- Compact "donut" spares stored in a trunk or under the vehicle floor
- Under-bed or under-vehicle spare mounts (common on some pickup trucks)
- Tires smaller than 28" or larger than 34" overall diameter

Will the print fade over time?
Our covers use high-quality printing designed for outdoor durability. Like any product exposed to direct sunlight daily, some gradual fading can occur over many years. To keep your cover looking its best, remove and hand-wash it periodically, and store it out of direct sunlight if the vehicle will be parked for an extended period such as winter storage of an RV.
How do I clean my tire cover?
- Remove the cover from the tire
- Rinse with a hose on a gentle setting to remove loose dirt
- Wash with mild soap and a soft brush or cloth
- Rinse thoroughly to remove all soap residue
- Hang to air dry completely before reinstalling — do not tumble dry
Never use a pressure washer or harsh chemical cleaners, as these can damage the printed surface.
